Meadow Fire Update

A fire, thought to be a spot fire from the lightning-strike caused Meadow Fire expanded rapidly on September 7, and is currently burning in the area behind Half Dome. Trails and campgrounds in that area are currently closed. As of September 16, the fire is approximately 4772 acres in size, and is 80% contained.

High Sierra Camps
Glen Aulin and May Lake High Camps have not been impacted. Sunrise, Vogelsang, and Merced Lake High Sierra camps are closed for the season.

Yosemite Valley
All Yosemite Valley-based businesses are open as normal for this season.
