The Badger Pass Ski Area School was established in 1928, and today proudly continues to offer lessons taught by professional instructors—many of whom are members of Professional Ski Instructors of America® (PSIA). Under the staff’s expert guidance, you'll build your skills and confidence in this safe and fun learning environment.
Guaranteed Learn-to-Ski/Snowboard Package
Our one-of-a-kind guaranteed program promises that you'll learn to ski or snowboard at Badger Pass Ski Area on your first day! By the end of the day, you'll be riding the chairlift and skiing or snowboarding down the beginner run. And if you need more than one day to accomplish this, we’ll be happy to give you a voucher so you can come back for another day of lessons—absolutely free.

Guaranteed Learn-to-Ski/Snowboard packages are offered daily; first lesson at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, or 12:00 pm. Children must be age 7 or older. We schedule group lessons on a first-come first-served basis each morning, and recommend that you arrive an hour and half earlier to allow plenty of time to rent skiing or snowboarding equipment. The second lesson begins at 2:15 pm.
Introduction to Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding Lesson Package
Get a taste of skiing or snowboarding with our Introductory Downhill Skiing or Snowboarding lesson package. Perfect for beginners who have never put on a pair of skis or a snowboard before, beginner lessons are offered daily at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Classes are available for anyone over the age of 7 and are scheduled on a first-come first-served basis at Badger Pass Ski Area.

Next Step Lessons Package
Once you or your child has mastered all the beginner moves, it's time to move up to our Next Step Lessons Package. Offered at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, Next Step lessons will help skiers/snowboarders fine-tune their skills while introducing new techniques.

Cross-Country & Telemark Skiing Lessons
Introductory Lesson:
- Daily at 10:15 am and 1:00 pm
- 2-hour group lesson with 3 or more students
- Pricing: $86.00 (includes equipment rental)
Intermediate Lesson:
- Scheduled after Introductory Lesson by request
- Group track skiing lesson
- Improve kick & glide, master steeper terrain, learn new techniques
- Pricing: $86.00 (includes equipment rental)
Advanced Lesson:
- Scheduled after Intermediate Lesson by request
- Group upper track level or off-piste lesson
- Students choose lesson focus
- Pricing: $86.00 (includes equipment rental)
Private Lesson:
- Daily at 9:00 am and 3:00 pm
- 1-hour lesson, based on your skill level
- Pricing: $75.00 plus $25.00 per additional person in the group
Telemark Lesson:
- Nordic Downhill Technique
- Taught on downhill ski runs
- Students choose lesson focus
- Lift ticket provided for use during lesson only

Skate Ski Lesson:

Badger Pups Downhill Ski/Snowboard Instruction Package
Kids age 4 to 6 years old can take part in our famous Badger Pups program, taught by a patient and sensitive ski or snowboard instructor:
