The state-of-the-art and award-winning visitor orientation film, “Spirit of Yosemite” provides a stunning and inspiring overview of Yosemite's splendor. The film is shown every 30 minutes in the Yosemite Theater, but be sure to spend some time exploring the fascinating exhibits in the adjacent Visitor Center.

3. Relax in Luxury
A study in size and grace, the Great Lounge at The Ahwahnee is home to comfortable couches, a massive fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s a delightful spot to read, enjoy an intimate conversation with friends, or delight in a warm afternoon drink while gazing out at the rain or snow outside. 

4. Step Back in Time
The Historic Ahwahnee Tour is an entertaining guided tour through the halls and great rooms of the National Historic Landmark and exposes guests to the hotel’s elegant history, famous visitors, and unique architectural attributes.

5. Experience Live Yosemite Theater
Hear the adventuresome stories and antics of John Muir, share talented rock climber Ron Kauk’s journey up Yosemite’s vertical walls, or join two talented performers –Tom Bopp or Shelton Johnson – for separate performances offering the stories of the national parks in unique ways. Showings nightly at the Yosemite Theater behind the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center. Tickets available at the visitor center or from any tour desk during operating hours.  Subject to seasonal scheduling.

7. Express Your Inner-Artist
Informal art classes are offered daily at the Yosemite Art Center in Yosemite Village spring through late autumn. Classes cover a wide spectrum of art media, including watercolor and pen and ink.

8. Listen or Sing-Along with Tom Bopp
Since 1983, singer and pianist Tom Bopp has entertained guests in the historic Wawona Hotel parlor with a collection of vintage Yosemite songs.

9. Experience Nature--Inside
The Happy Isles Nature Center includes natural history exhibits, interactive displays for the whole family, and a bookstore geared to nature exploration. Open mid-spring through early fall.
