Offered from late May through early September, group hikes let you experience Yosemite with like-minded individuals. From a biking & hiking combo to an all-day adventure, you'll find plenty of ways to experience Yosemite with new friends!

Group Hikes

Bike to Hike, one of the many exciting ways to experience Yosemite with the Yosemite Mountaineering School's professional guides.
Bike to Hike Tour
Rent a bike or bring your own and join us for the perfect way to explore the valley floor. We’ll ride our bikes to scenic locations or trailheads and then take short hikes from there. Along the way you’ll learn about Yosemite history, geology, ecology and see some of our favorite spots. Our group sizes are small so we go at your pace, and can customize the tour based on your interests. Bike rentals are available at Curry Village and Yosemite Lodge Bike Stands. The cost of bike rental is not included in the cost of the Bike to Hike Tour. 

Duration: 2.5 hours
Cost: $20 per person; 10 and under $5 with paying adult. Participants need to know how to ride a bicycle.

Discovery Hikes
For people who agree that it's about the journey rather than the destination, the relaxed-paced Discover Yosemite Hikes are perfect, with stops along the way to smell the flowers, watch rock climbers, take pictures and just have fun. With our small group sizes, there is plenty of flexibility to make this Yosemite group hiking experience fit your interests. Must be a minimum age of 12.

Duration: 3.5 hours, covering roughly 3-4 miles.
Cost: $30 per person

Adventure Hike: Glacier Point to Yosemite Valley via Panorama Trail

Join the Glacier Point Tour for a one-way bus ride up to Glacier Point.  Then, hike down to the Valley with one of our fun and friendly guides via the Panorama Trail.  Our guides are experienced locals who are excited to share their knowldge and love of the trail with you. Small group sizes allow a personalized touch and flexible itinerary.  Plan to walk roughly 8 miles during this 8 hour trip.

Duration: 8 hours , covering 6-8 miles,
$75.00 per person, price includes bus ticket.

Adventure Hike
Spend a day enjoying Yosemite with one of our fun and friendly guides.  Even the most popular trails are more enjoyable when you have someone who can tell you about the places that you are hiking through, (and possibly help carry some of the extra water).  Our guides are experienced locals who are excited to share their knowledge and love of the park with you.  Our small group sizes allow them to lead personalized, flexible group hiking excursions in Yosemite.  Must be a minimum age of 12.

Durations: 6 hours, covering 6+ miles
Cost: $50 per person

Additional information is available in the Yosemite Guide available at all Park entrance gates and the National Park Service Visitor Center.

What to Bring
When you join us for a hike, bring at least 2 liters of water (some situations dictate more), snacks or a light lunch, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, extra clothing and a small backpack. Call us and we'll be glad to give you additional details on equipment needs. We also rent daypacks for a small fee.
