As California's original ski area, Badger Pass has been a favorite for generations of families. Unpretentious, friendly and affordable, Badger Pass ski area offers a uniquely stress-free atmosphere. Featuring one of the best sundecks in the Sierra, you can watch your children learn to ski or snowboard while enjoying the California sunshine. Badger Pass is a full-service ski resort offering ski and snowboard instruction, rental equipment, a ski shop, childcare, and a cafeteria and lounge. Open mid-December through mid-March, conditions permitting.

    • 10 runs: 35% beginner, 50% intermediate, 15% advanced
    • Beginner-friendly terrain park
    • 5 lifts: 1 triple-chair, 3 double-chair, 1 handle tow
    • Elevation - 7,200 ft to 8,000 ft, vertical drop - 800 ft
    • Average Temperature range - 30' to 60' Fahrenheit
    • The best place in the west to learn to ski or board, 85% of our slopes are devoted to beginner and intermediate levels.
    • Badger Pups kids downhill program, offering customized instruction for little skiers ages 4 to 6 years old.
