As the original Northern California ski area, Badger Pass has been a favorite for generations of families. Unpretentious, friendly and affordable, Badger Pass ski area offers a unique and stress-free experience. Featuring one of the best sundecks in the Sierra, you can watch your children learn to ski or snowboard while enjoying the California sunshine. Badger Pass is a full-service ski resort offering ski and snowboard instruction, rental equipment, a ski shop, childcare, and a cafeteria and lounge. Conditions permitting, you can enjoy this Northern California skiing experience from mid-December through mid-March.

    • Badger Pass is scheduled to open for the 2014/2015 season on December 12, 2014, conditions permitting.  
    • During the season, Badger Pass Ski Area is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm.
    • 10 runs: 35% beginner, 50% intermediate, 15% advanced.
    • 5 lifts: 1 triple-chair, 3 double-chair, 1 handle tow.
    • Beginner-friendly terrain park.
    • Elevation: 7,200 ft to 8,000 ft, vertical drop of 800 ft.
    • 85% of our slopes are devoted to beginner and intermediate levels - great for learning to ski or board.
    • Average Temperature range - 30° to 60° Fahrenheit.
    • Badger Pups - a downhill skiing program offering customized instruction for little skiers ages 4 to 6 years old.
