Let our mules carry your equipment and supplies for you. Typically based out of one of our three stables, we offer a wide range of services, ranging from delivering your items to a High Sierra Camp in advance, to extended multi-day journeys. Call ahead to arrange your adventure (209) 372-8348. Reservations absolutely required.
Rates:
$270/day for the guide/packer
$129/day for the animal (minimum of 3 animals per trip).
$5/pound for items delivered to a High Sierra Camp with the regular supply train.
Logistics and Requirements:
- Plan to have someone from your party ready to meet the mules at your destination. We can not leave your things in an empty campsite.
- Bring your items to the appropriate stable the day before your departure so that we can have everything packed and ready to go in the morning.
- If you are planning an extended trip, you will be responsible for your own food, cooking and cleaning responsibilities.
- Don’t forget your wilderness permit.
- Remember that weight limits do apply. Pack animals are able to carry up to 150 lbs. per animal, and riding stock up to 225 lbs. No exceptions.
- If your trip begins or ends at a trailhead not serviced by one of our stables there will be an additional $185 charge for transportation of the stock to and from the trailhead.
- Children must be at least 10 years old and have riding experience to participate in overnight saddle trips.
