Great Events of Spring Fest

Welcome spring with a full day of fun activities at Badger Pass Ski Area. Join in the festivities or just soak in the sun on the Lodge Deck while enjoying front row seats for the entertainment. Our tradition of events include such greats as the Costume Contest,the Dummy Race,the Pond Skimming Contest (One of the Local Favorites) and lots more Family Fun!! See below for Description of Events. (Final Schedule of Events and Times TBA.)
WHO: YOU and YOURS!! Open to All Yosemite National Park Visitors! Great Family Event bring Young and Old!
WHAT: Yosemite Naptional Park's Ski Resort,Badger Pass,will celebrate the conclusion of another successful season with its annual Spring Fest,complete with Music,Food,Costumes and Crazy Contests!

DESCRIPTION OF EVENTS:
9:00 am ~ Event Registration ~ Sign up in the Day Lodge next to the Activities Desk.
10:00 am ~ Obstacle Course ~ for children 13 and under; Meet at Ski School meeting area.
11:00 am~ Free-Style Competition ~ for skiers & snowboarders 14 years and older; meet @ Lower Red Fox Run.
11:00 am ~ Slalom Race ~ for children 13 and under. Meet at Bruin Run.
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm ~ Live Music ~ Featuring the "Adam Burns Band"
12:00 pm ~ Costume Contest ~ on the Day Lodge Main Deck.
12:30 pm ~ Dummy Judging ~ Visitors and employees can build their own dummy and display it in front of the Day Lodge. Dummies must be at least 3' tall and less than 100 lbs., non-breathing, non-living, no pets, no kids. Gravity propelled only.
1:00 pm ~ Dual Slalom Race for skiers & snowboarders must be 14 years and older; Meet at the top of Badger Run.
2:45 pm ~ Pond Skimming - skiing or snowboarding contestants 14 years old and up will slide down the lower Red Fox run and hydroplane across a man-made pond approximately 50' to 60' long. Based upon a knock out system, the last contestant remaining dry wins the competition! ( Snow Conditions and Weather Permitting )
4:15 pm ~ World Cup Dummy Race ~ watch the decorated dummies careen down the Red Fox Run and root for your favorite!
Downhill Dummy Races
Build your own dummy for the Downhill Dummy Race, or just come to admire the fantastic creations of others, and cheer for your favorite dummies!
If you are building a dummy, remember to register it in the Day Lodge on the morning of April 2nd . The race down the Red Fox run begins after the dummies are judged on style.
All dummies must be:
Built on skis or a snowboard
At least 3 feet tall
Weigh under 100 pounds
Non-living and non-breathing (not pets or children)
Gravity propelled only
