The Ahwahnee® Hotel Accommodations

The Ahwahnee
The Ahwahnee accommodations include 123 handsomely appointed guest rooms, including 99 hotel rooms, parlors and suites and 24 cottages.

Hotel Rooms

Our hotel rooms are located in the main building of The Ahwahnee.

Standard Hotel Rooms:  Appointed in rich fabrics, warm woods and Native American motifs, The Ahwahnee Standard Rooms offer comfort and elegance as a counterpoint to the rugged beauty outside.

Classic Hotel Rooms: Classic rooms provide the classic experience at The Ahwahnee, with finely appointed rooms and better views of the hotel grounds and spectacular Yosemite scenery.

Featured Hotel Rooms: Enjoy Yosemite from a balcony adjoining your hotel room at The Ahwahnee. Only a small number of these rooms are available, and are booked on a first-come first-served basis.

Bedding configurations include one king bed or two double beds.

Cottage Rooms

Cottage Room
Located among the dogwoods and pines on the hotel grounds, these rustic cottages have the comfort of a mountain lodge with Native American accents and natural wood furnishings. Each room has a newly rennovated private bath (rennovation completed March 2008), television, telephone, small refrigerator and small stone patio.

Although the cottage does not offer air conditioning they are surrounded by shade trees and ceiling fans moderate day-time summer temperatures to cool the rooms during the summer months.

Bedding configurations include one king bed or two double beds.

Parlors

The Sunroom Parlor
The hotel's four parlors are luxuriously furnished and provide unparalleled views of the valley.  The parlors combine with hotel rooms to create suites. (Not available individually).

Junior Suites

The El Dorado Diggins Suite has been a private dining room, a cocktail lounge and even a chapel during World War II. This suite comfortably sleeps four and features a sunken living room, large picture window, slate entry and the only jacuzzi bathtub in Yosemite.

The Mary Curry Tresider Suite features a four-poster canopy bed and rich color palette, and has a decidedly romantic aura. The large bathroom offers craftsman designed cabinets and bidet. On her trip to Yosemite in 1983, Queen Elizabeth II stayed in this suite, and since then it has been fondly referred to as “The Queen’s Room”.

Testimonials

“We try to eat at the Mountain Room everytime we visit Yosemite. My son has Celiac Disease and in the past The Mountain Room has always been very accommodating. This time when I asked if a particular item was gluten-free, they presented a gluten-free menu. IN THE MIDDLE OF YOSEMITE!!! I can't tell you how great that is. It can be so difficult for my son to have a nice meal like everyone else, and there were a ton of delicious options on your gluten-free menu. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
