Yosemite Grant 150th Anniversary Experience

Celebrate Yosemite National Park in 2014!

Yosemite Grant

This year, Yosemite National Park celebrates the 150th Anniversary of the Yosemite Grant Act. Signed by Abraham Lincoln in 1864, the Yosemite Grant is the first piece of legislation in history to set aside public lands for the use of a country's citizens, paving the way for the establishment of national parks. The park and surrounding gateway communities mark this occasion with events scheduled all year long.
